IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS WHILE HAVING FUN EXPLORING CHICAGO, THE LARGEST CITY IN THE HEART OF THE USA.

Study and Tour

“Chicago: Learn. Experience. Explore!”
ESL and Chicago Cultural Program

English Language Institute’s 8 week “Study-and-Tour” instruction is a great way to learn English through the exploration of Chicago culture: home to world class museums, architecture, dining experiences and more. Students participate in a well-rounded English language study program based around activities designed to match the student’s skill level, beginning, intermediate or advanced. English language skills learned in the classroom are further explored and enhanced by participation in outside planned activities and outings. Students incorporate these outings into a final project competition, where students share their experiences with their classmates.

The program strengthens English lan guage skills, learned in the class room, by such methods as:

  • • English Language Instruction
  • • Group Activities
  • • Computerized Research
  • • Final Group Presentations

Skills learned in the classroom are further explored and enhanced by participation in outside planned activities and outings to popular Chicago places. In addition to organized activities and outings, students complete the program by demonstrating their English speaking skills in a final group project competition, where students share their experiences with their classmates. All course materials, admissions, transportation and cultural activities are included in the cost of tuition.
In addition to learning about Chicago architecture, history and cultural offerings, students may enjoy visits to legendary area restaurants where they can try Chicagostyle deep-dish pizzas or Chicago-style hot dogs. They may even see a “classic” American car show with cars from the 1950’s!
